My TECHSHOW Experience

My TECHSHOW Experience
Are you considering attending the TECHSHOW next year? Whether you’re a business partner, a member of a law firm, or a law student, I highly recommend it. My experience began with valuable insights into AI in the legal industry and the challenges law firms are anticipating in 2025 and concluded with fun and engaging sessions like playing with puppies and ski ball with new connections. To say the least, the ABA TECHSHOW has something for everyone!
Each year, thousands of legal professionals gather in Chicago for the ABA TECHSHOW, a leading conference focused on the intersection of law and technology. Hosted by the American Bar Association’s Law Practice Division, the 2025 event marked its 40th anniversary at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place from April 2–5 with over 100+ legal technology vendors and 70 educational sessions. TECHSHOW has evolved from a niche gathering to a national stage showcasing the future of legal practice.
This event is an exciting melting pot of diversity, uniting attorneys, managing partners, firm administrators, in-house counsel, consultants, and legal tech entrepreneurs. Whether you are looking to pitch a product, find the new best in breed, gain CLE credits or make long term connections I would recommend this event. No matter if you're from a solo practice or an AM Law 100 firm, the conversations here are worth it.
As a business partner and first-time attendee I may have had a different experience than others but what I saw was this. People connecting with new peers, long term connections crossing paths with others and knowledge being shared by all. Authors and law firm professionals informing those alike on important topics in a venue that was setup for success and Business Partners meeting new potential clients.
My two cents. Whether you’re a member of a law firm interested in modernizing your practice, a tech company trying to break into the legal space, or just someone curious about how legal work is evolving, ABA TECHSHOW is a must-attend event. I walked away with new ideas, new connections, and a clear sense of how innovation is transforming the legal industry. If you're even remotely involved in legal services, this conference should be on your radar.
